Garmendia Leal Fundadores de Cadeyerta

Alonso De Leon was born in Mexico City in 1605 and was the son of Lorenzo Perez and Adriana De Leon. He arrived in Nuevo Leon about 1636. His family was reportedely from Huichapan which is now in the State of Hidalgo. During the early years he participated in many Indian hunting expeditions and was soon leading companies as Captain. He was one of the founders of Cadereyta and lived there most of his life. (117-139) He later became a governor of Coahuila. De Leon married Josefa Gonzalez in Huichapan in September of 1635 and had at least 10 children, one of them being the General Alonso de Leon.
