Ines RODRIGUEZ was born about 1550. I show Ines Rodriguez as the daughter of Diego de Montemayor and Inez Rodriguez because several published sources make that assertion; however, there are some who question, due to a lack of available evidence, whether she was indeed a daughter of Diego de Montemayor. Parents: Governor Diego de MONTEMAYOR and Ines RODRIGUEZ.
Spouse: Baltasar de SOSA. Baltasar de SOSA and Ines RODRIGUEZ were married. A census of the Villa of Cerralvo (Monterrey) conducted on September 4, 1626, noted that Lucas Garcia and his family did not have a house at that time and that they lived in the house of his brother Diego Rodriguez. Diego Rodriguez' dwelling is described as being 50 paces from and facing the Convent of San Francisco. The dwelling contained 2 rooms and "un torrecilla alta", or small tower. Diego Rodriguez and his family lived in one of the rooms, his brother Lucas Garcia lived in the other room, and Diego Rodriguez' son-in-law Miguel de Montemayor lived with his family in the small tower. Children were: Capt. Diego RODRIGUEZ, Maria RODRIGUEZ, Capt. Lucas GARCIA.
